David Wayne Warden

David Wayne Warden, 48, of Corinth, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a courageous fight of cancer. He was born August 5, 1961 in Galveston to Henry Warden and Elizabeth Wedgeworth. He graduated from Belton High School and attended Texas Tech and was a member of Fellowship Church in Grapevine. He married Denise Rush on August 7, 1987 in Lubbock. He was a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He also worked for Albertson’s for over 20 years before going to work for the U.S. Postal Service.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Dr. Craig Combs and Rev. Rick Hinze officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Warden, of Corinth; sons, Kyle Nicholas Warden and Ryan Joseph Warden, both of Corinth; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Bunny Rush, sister-in-law, Brenda Beggs and husband Chris, special nephews, Jared and Dylan Beggs; brother-in-law, Ron and wife, Sara Rush, niece, Lizzie Rush; mother, Elizabeth Wedgeworth of Belton; father, Henry Warden of Metairie LA; sisters, Robin Honeycutt and husband James of Temple, Rowena Fojtasek and husband Alton of Kingwood; brothers, Douglas Warden and Wade Warden, both of Belton, and Derrick Warden of Austin and several nieces and nephews.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society, North Texas Chapter, 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425, Dallas, Texas 75251.
