Stephen Travis Perry

Stephen Travis Perry, 22, of Highland Village passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007.   He was born June 1, 1985 in Dallas and graduated from Marcus High School Special Education Program in May 2007.

Survivors include his parents, Larry and Ellen Perry of Highland Village; two sisters, Amanda Allen and husband, Scott and Olivia Perry, all of Highland Village; two brothers, First Lt. Brenton Perry and wife, Crystal of Fort Walton Beach, FL and William Perry of Highland Village; grandmothers, Audrey Perry of Kingsland, TX and Loraine Laughter of Lewisville.  Numerous extended family members also survive him.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Christ Presbyterian Church in Flower Mound. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at the funeral home. In the lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Summit, Inc., 2915 LBJ Frwy Ste. 185, Dallas, TX, 75234.

Jan Yates Morris

Jan Yates Morris, 55, of Lewisville, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007. She was born May 29, 1952 in Lewisville to Paul David and Joyce (Burchett) Yates.

Her family includes her husband of 22 years, Gary Morris; mother Joyce McDaniel and son, Johnny Boynton and wife Julie; step-daughter, Jennifer Jamen and husband Brett; two sisters, Angie McDaniel and Paula Minton; three brothers, Doug, Marvin and David Yates; two grandchildren, Will and Ben Jamen; and her dog, Pup-Pup Morris. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kassie Donaldson and also by her father, Paul Yates.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 also at the funeral home.

Doris L. Cunningham

Doris L. Cunningham, 84, of Eudora, Kansas, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at her Daughter’s home in Lawrence, KS.  Mrs. Cunningham was born October 10, 1923 in Alma, Kansas.  She worked for Simmons Mattress Company for 31and 1/2 years before retiring in 1986.  After her retirement she became an avid gardner.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Highland Park Funeral Home & Crematory; burial in Highland Park Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Funeral Home. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Eugene F. Cunningham in 1972; and a great granddaughter on November 4, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, William D. LeRow of Paradise, TX and Danny W. LeRow of Eudora, KS; one daughter, Cheryl L. Travis of Lawrence, KS; nine stepchildren; ten grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to The Lawrence Humane Society or Hospice Care of Douglas County / VNA.

Frederick “Freddie” Anders

Frederick “Freddie” Anders, 29, of Krum, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007.  He was born June 20, 1978 in Denton to Larry Anders and Sheri and Leonard Franklin.  Freddie married Sheena Johnson on March 2, 2004.  He was employed by MABAK Directional Drilling and was a member of Full Gospel Family Worship Center.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Geo. J. Carroll & Sons Funeral Home, Gainesville.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Gainesville, Texas,  with Rev. Jack Howard officiating. 

He is survived by his wife, Sheena Johnson-Anders; children, Accaica Sherrer and Kyra Anders; his mother, Sheri Franklin, stepfather, Leonard Franklin, and father, Larry Anders; his sisters, Leslie Scott, and husband Kevin, Jessica Anders, Jennifer Anders, Brittany Franklin and Ashley Flemings; his brother, Lance Franklin; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Janice Patterson; brother-in-law, Chaz Patterson; sister-in-law, Brittney Patterson, brother-in-law, Shane Patterson, and sister-in-law, Becky Castillo.

Ralph Curtis Burch

Ralph Curtis Burch, 78, of Argyle, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born April 10, 1929 in Walters, Oklahoma to Jess A. and Vesta M. (Milligan) Burch. He was a retired Coach and Teacher with the Irving Independent School District. He was married to Pauline Lewis on September 5, 1964 in Denton. He was a graduate of Denton High School, and received a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from the University of North Texas. He was a member of the Hickory Creek Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Hickory Creek Baptist Church, 5724 Teasley Lane, Denton, with Rev. Raymond Castro, officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Alton Cemetery. The family will be at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 3, 2007.

Mr. Burch is survived by is wife, Pauline Burch, of Argyle, Daughters, Diana L. Simpson, and Sharon Kelly Howell, of Denton, and Kathy D. Kern, of Wylie, Son, David A. Burch, of Argyle, sisters, Jessie Gromatsky, of Chandler, Geneal Tibbets, of Denton, Mary F. Burns, of Houston, Billie Marie Brown, of Angleton, Peggy Spencer, and Maxine Bell, of Denton, and brothers, Ellis Burch, of Springdale, AR Wayne Burch, of Denton, R. B. Burch, of Pilot Point, and Norman Burch, of Duncanville.. Grandchildren, Tim, Amanda, Riley, Christine, Kristen, and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Johnny Burch, and sisters, Odessa Armentrout, Jean Nichlas, and Ruth Burch.

Sherry A. Taylor

BEDFORD — Sherry A. Taylor, 56, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in Bedford.

Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, in Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Sherry A. Taylor graduated from Tarrant County College in 1970 as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Witherel.

Survivors: Son, Aaron Paul Witherel of Argyle; parents, Eugene and Mayme Bryant; brothers, David E. Bryant and wife, Barbara, and children, Jesse P., Stephanie, Manuel D. and Lorin Bryant, of Jasper, Stephen L. Bryant and children, Jennifer and Stephen Bryant, William E. Bryant and children, Courtney Penn and Kevin Bryant and Roger E. Bryant and daughter, Ella, of Denton; uncles, David W. McGee of Jacksboro and James C. MaGee of Louisiana; aunts, Ruth Redmon and children, Kay Clausen and son, Douglas, Billie Rogers and husband, Jack, and children of Granbury, and Judy Rand of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas, 67, of Denton died Saturday, December 01, 2007 at his home. He was born April 19, 1940 in Canton, Michigan to Joseph H. and Alberta Anna (Bronson) Thomas. He was employed as a Pier Driller, for Thomas Drilling Company. He was married to Dorothy Parker on July 12, 1966 in Mississippi. He served in the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Non Denominational Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Don Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thomas, of Denton, daughter, Tammy and husband Joey Silva, of Krum, sons, Bill and wife Carla Thomas, of Denton, and Joseph and wife Robin Thomas, of Krum, his Mother, Alberta A. Thomas, of Canton, MI, and three sisters, Barbara Miller, of Wayne, MI Thelma Hudson, of Canton, MI, Mary Funke, of Mount Pleasant, MI and Six Grandchildren, Mason and Logan Thomas, Nathan and Nicole Silva, J. T. and McKayla Thomas. He was also loved by Nieces and Nephews, Brothers and sisters in law and many friends. Proceeded in death by his grandmother, Anna Bronson and father, Joe Thomas. .
