Women's basketball: Former Clemson assistant joins UNT coaching staff

Saudia Roundtree has taken over as the top assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the North Texas women’s basketball team, head coach Shanice Stephens said Thursday.
Roundtree spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Clemson. She has also worked at Alabama and Central Florida and was the head coach at North Carolina A&T for three seasons.
Roundtree replaces Erika Lang-Montgomery, whose contract was not renewed.
“Saudia is a dynamic coach,” Stephens said. “We spent a year together at Clemson and her enthusiasm is contagious. She was a phenomenal player and that has translated into her coaching career.”
