Golf: Polledri makes cut at Nelson Junior

DALLAS — Greg Polledri, who will be a senior at Liberty Christian this fall, made the cut at the HP Byron Nelson Junior Championship on Tuesday at Lakewood Country Club.

Polledri shot a 77-71—148 in the first two rounds, with the final round slated for today. He is tied for 22nd place at 6-over par, 14 shots behind leader Jordan Spieth of Dallas. Spieth fired a course-record 62 on Tuesday to take a seven-stroke advantage.

Austin Weaver, who won the TAPPS 4A individual state title for Liberty this spring, finished at 26-over par and did not make the cut.
