Golf: UNT women finish 10th in New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The North Texas women’s golf team made up some ground Wednesday in the final round of the Price’s Give “Em Five” Intercollegiate by shooting a collective 293 to finish 10th in the 18-team tournament.

Overall the Mean Green shot a 907 for the tournament, which was a collective 43 shots over par. Sophomore Addison Long led the way for the Mean Green in the final round and shot a collegiate best 70 to finished the tournament as UNT’stop individual finisher (T-14th) with a 7-over 223.

Sophomore Kelsey Kipp and senior Jordan Rose both shot 75 to finish, and tied for 32nd individually.

Idaho was crowned the tournament champs with a team score of 7-over par, 871, followed by UC-Irvine (+14), San Diego State (+16), Baylor (+30) and Fresno State (+30). UNT will hit the links again Oct. 19-20 at the Shocker Invitational in Newton, Kansas.
