Baseball: Former Ryan standout Jackson named to Triple-A all-star team

Former Ryan standout Austin Jackson was named to the International League’s All-Star team on Thursday.

Jackson, an outfielder for the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees, entered Thursday’s games ranked fourth in the league with a .320 batting average and was a perfect 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts.He is also among the league leaders with four triples and has three home runs on the season.

Jackson entered the season rated as the New York Yankees’ top prospect and the No. 36 overall prospect in baseball by Baseball America.
