High school basketball: Ryan boys take down W. Mesquite

The Ryan Raiders took control in the second period and never let West Mesquite back in the game Saturday to win 55-45.
Sparked by Drew Watson’s 27 points, the Raiders poured in 32 points in the second and third periods, while West Mesquite could only score 14.
“He had a huge game,” said assistant coach Brett Edwards. “We could use a few more like that from him.”
The win put the Raiders at 1-1 for the season. Ryan next travels to Azle at 7:30 p.m. Monday.T
