Football: Pilot Point’s Johnson, Feldt earn AP All-State honors
08:54 AM CST on Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Pilot Point running back Jarman Johnson and offensive lineman Cam Feldt were named to the Associated Press Class 2A All-State first team on Monday, two days after claiming the Division I state championship over Kirbyville.
Voting was based off of what players did during the regular season.
Johnson finished with 2,408 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns to help lead the Bearcats to a perfect record and another District 10-2A title before their playoff run in which he racked up seven more touchdowns and 553 rushing yards.
Feldt, who is orally committed to play at Arkansas next year, is on the first team for the second consecutive year. He graded out at 90 percent, allowed zero sacks and had 104 pancake blocks this season.
Pilot Point’s Seth Tilley was on the honorable mention list along with Aubrey’s Justin Griffin, Trey Gomez, Trevor Howard and Matt Robbins.
