Product recalls: Dirt Devil brush, My Binky pacifer, Amsterdam bikes, Lithonia lighting fixtures

The following recalls have been announced this week:

– About 987,000 Dirt Devil vacuum power brush attachment tools , made in China by TTI Floor Care North America, because plastic pieces inside the vacuum tool can break apart and be ejected, posing a laceration hazard. The company has received 140 reports of incidents involving the recalled vacuum tool, including 12 reports of injuries such as minor eye or skin injuries and a thumb injury. The recalled products were sold as attachments to Dirt Devil vacuums and have the date codes J7060 through J7365. – About 115,000 It's My Binky personalized pacifiers, manufactured in Malaysia and imported by It's My Binky, because pieces of the pacifiers can detach and pose a choking hazard. The company has received two reports of pacifier pieces detaching, but no reports of injuries. The pacifiers were sold at http://www.itsmybinky.com and at Nordstrom and baby boutique stores around the country between February 2006 and June 2008. – About 9,500 Amsterdam bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan and imported by the Electra Bicycle Company LLC, because the chainguard's alignment tabs can push against the chain and cause it to derail. The company has received four reports of chains derailing in this manner, including one report that resulted in cuts and scrapes from a fall. The bicycles were sold by authorized Electra dealers around the country between January 2007 and June 2008. – About 1,200 indoor lighting fixtures, manufactured in the United States by Lithonia Lighting, because a thermal protector could be missing. This poses a risk of the fixtures overheating and igniting. No injuries have been reported. The fixtures were sold by electrical distributors and sales representatives around the country between April 2007 and May 2008.
