Black Bean Dip

1 (14- to 16-ounce) can black beans
1 teaspoon roasted-garlic purée (or more to taste)
Juice of 1 lime
1/4 cup minced onion
¼ cup minced fresh cilantro
1 (2-ounce) can green chiles, drained and minced
8 ounces crumbled queso blanco cheese

Purée the beans with the garlic and lime juice in a blender or food processor. Stir in remaining ingredients. Serve hot or cold with tortilla chips. Makes about 3 cups.
