Wine events: Dallas Wine & Food Festival

Make plans to attend Dallas Wine & Food Festival events, starting April 23 with Gourmet Cinema – a dinner by chef Richard Chamberlain paired with Sideways at the Angelika – and culminating with the grand, walk-around Taste of the World on April 27 at the Rosewood Crescent Court. In between: The Rising Star Chefs' Dinner at the Rosewood Mansion Restaurant on April 24, and Texas Salute! at Eddie Deen's on April 25.
•Entertaining With Style is an all-day event April 26 in the Knox-Henderson area. Start your day with coffee and pastries at Aló (4447 N. Central Expressway), where you can check out the schedule of demos and presentations, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., all for $35. Additional events include these for wine-lovers:
•Everyday Wine for Everyday People, led by Rebecca Murphy, founder of The Dallas Morning News Wine Competition, with award-winning wines for less than $15, 10 a.m. at the Milestone Culinary Arts Center & Viking Cooking School (4531 McKinney Ave.); $25.
•Pranzo Italiano lunch at Adelmo's (4537 Cole) with Giovanni Nencini from Da Vinci Winery, noon; $55.
•The Riesling on the Rise panel at Milestone, moderated by Texas' newest master sommelier, Drew Hendricks, wine director at Charlie Palmer at the Joule, 2:30 p.m.; $25.
