Wine of the Week: St. Supéry's zesty sauvignon blanc
12:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Sauvignon blanc is one of the most versatile wines when it comes to pairing with food. Often unoaked, it works very well with Tex-Mex, salads and Asian flavors. St. Supéry, a snazzy Napa Valley winery, makes this zesty, unoaked version with lime and pink grapefruit flavors intensified with piquant acidity. It's the perfect partner for spring's hard-to-match roasted asparagus. Available at Centennial Fine Wine and Spirits, Central Market, Goody-Goody Liquors, Mr. G's Beverage and Deli Center and Pogo's Wine & Spirits.
