Food Shark serving Middle Eastern in West Texas

MARFA, Texas – Photographer Allison V. Smith captured this image of Food Shark, the only place in the world you can order a serving of Marfalafel.
It's a 1974 Ford delivery truck originally outfitted for barbecue. When it was put up for sale, friends urged Krista Steinhauer and Adam Bork to buy it. They developed a Middle Eastern menu and beached the truck across from the Marfa Book Store in this West Texas hot spot.
The Food Shark is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday. Krista does the cooking; Adam works the front and tends to creative projects in his spare time. His videos make the Food Shark the darling of YouTube and MySpace, Krista says. Check out the Food Shark at foodsharkmarfa.com.
