SCHOOL HOURS

Elementary schools: 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Intermediate schools: 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Middle schools: 8:35 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Ninth-grade center and high school: 7:45 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

TRANSPORTATION

Bus transportation is available for students who live two miles or more from their assigned school. Students should arrive at their bus stop 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. MEALS

Check or cash payments to students' meal accounts may be made at the child's school. Parents seeking to receive a reduced-price or free lunch should fill out an application. Parents may make online payments at www.mealpayplus.com.

All campuses, K-12: Breakfast $1.25; Lunch $2.25

EXTENDED-DAY PROGRAM

An extended-day program is offered to children in kindergarten through sixth grade in the Cedar Hill district. It's open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Fees are based on income. Call 972-291-1581, ext. 4052.

Today: Registration for all returning students at Joe Wilson Intermediate, 975 Pickard Drive, and West Intermediate, 1533 High Pointe Lane, both 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a dinner break and then 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Today: Registration for returning seventh-grade students at Coleman Middle School, 1208 Pleasant Run Road, 3 to 7 p.m.

Today and Friday: New student registration at Permenter Middle School, 8:30 a.m. to noon, with a lunch break and then 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Friday: Registration for returning eighth-grade students at Coleman Middle School, 3 to 7 p.m.

Saturday: Back to School Rally, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cedar Hill High School

Monday: First day of school
