12:00 AM CDT on Sunday, May 11, 2008
PRETORIA, South Africa – Zimbabwean opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai says he will return to his homeland despite death threats for a runoff election against President Robert Mugabe.
Mr. Tsvangirai, addressing reporters Saturday in the capital of neighboring South Africa, said his supporters would feel "betrayed" if he did not face Zimbabwe's ruler of 28 years.
No runoff date has been set.
