Season series: Baltimore leads 1-0 GAME 1 RHP Steve Trachsel (1-0, 3.18 ERA): Scheduled to start Wednesday's game, Trachsel moves back a day because of the rainout. But he's been such a slow worker in the past that it's kind of like watching a rain delay anyway. Tracshel worked on taking less time between pitches this spring. Trachsel has started three games in Arlington, though none since 2003, and they have averaged 3:08. Loves to face: Milton Bradley (1-for-8) Hates to face: Marlon Byrd (4-for-13) GAME 2 LHP Adam Loewen (0-0, 7.71 ERA): A left elbow stress fracture limited Loewen in 2007. He made only six starts and was 2-0 with a 3.56 ERA in 30 1/3 innings. Loewen, who turned 24 on Wednesday, allowed four earned runs in 4 2/3 innings with four strikeouts and three walks and got the no-decision in his first start last week. Bradley and Byrd are the only two Rangers that Loewen has faced. He is 1-for-7 combined against them. Update: Baltimore has dominated in the late innings, outscoring opponents 14-3 in the seventh, eighth and ninth. They outscored Texas 2-1 in those innings Tuesday. GAME 1 RHP Kevin Millwood (0-2, 1.29 ERA): He has two quality starts – two earned runs allowed in 14 innings – but no wins. Still, it's a much better start for Millwood than last season, when he had a 4.91 ERA through two starts. His last outing was the club's first complete game since Aug. 29, 2006, when Millwood did it against the Orioles. Loves to face: Ramon Hernandez (2-for-14, 4 K's) Hates to face: Kevin Millar (13-for-35, 3 2Bs, HR) GAME 2 LHP Kason Gabbard (1-0, 0.00 ERA): Gabbard pitched seven scoreless innings against Los Angeles on Friday. In a 92-pitch outing, Gabbard got 16 of his 21 outs on ground balls (including three double plays) and another four on strikeouts. Gabbard is 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA in 10 2/3 innings in two career starts against Baltimore. Melvin Mora (2-for-6) is the only Oriole with more than five at-bats against him. Update: This is Millwood's first start against an AL East foe this season. He is 14-13 with a 4.65 ERA against that division in his career. It's the only AL division against which he has a winning record. Thursday's Texas Rangers scouting report
