Season series: Series title, 3-3 LHP Kason Gabbard (1-0, 2.18 ERA): Gabbard is coming off the disabled list after leaving an April 21 start with a stiff back. He made a rehab start for Double-A Frisco on Saturday and allowed one hit in four innings. Gabbard made two starts against the Mariners (both in Seattle) while he was with Boston, and the Red Sox lost both games. Ichiro Suzuki (4-for-6) is the only Mariner to face him more than five times. Update: The finale to this road trip will be the Rangers' 15th game against the AL West. Thirteen of those 15 have been on the road. The Rangers' next 13 games against the division will be in Arlington, starting with the first six games of the homestand that begins Friday. RHP Felix Hernandez (2-2, 3.04 ERA): In his start at New York on Saturday, Hernandez allowed 12 hits and six runs in 5 2/3 innings. It marked the first time this season he failed to see the seventh inning. The outing raised his ERA from 2.22 to 3.04. Hernandez didn't allow the Rangers an earned run in seven innings on April 1, but the Mariners still lost the game. In his last four starts vs. Texas, he's 3-0 with a 1.26 ERA. Loves to face: Ian Kinsler (3-for-16) Hates to face: Frank Catalanotto (4-for-12) Update: OF Raul Ibanez hit five homers in the Mariners' first 12 games and was the AL's co-player of the week for April 7-13. But entering Wednesday, he hadn't homered since April 12. All games broadcast on KRLD-AM (1080) and in Spanish on KFLC-AM (1270) Thursday's Texas Rangers scouting report
