Ian Kinsler hit the first pitch of the inning down the left field line for a double. He reached third on a delayed steal and scored when Josh Hamilton grounded out to second. It was Hamilton's 37th RBI of the season.

OAKLAND SECOND
Rangers starter Scott Feldman walked two batters to put two on with one out. He was behind 3-1 to Mark Ellis, but Ellis flew out to right. Jack Hannahan took a swing at the first pitch and grounded to second to end the inning and keep the scoreless streak alive.

RANGERS SECOND
Brandon Boggs hit his second homer of the season, blasting a ball 379 feet to left field.

RANGERS SIXTH
A two-out double by Boggs scored Hamilton and Milton Bradley to increase the Rangers' lead. Boggs hit a rope to the gap in right-center.

Nice recovery (fair): Brandon Boggs' right knee slammed into a part of the wall in foul territory in left that isn't padded. He stayed in the game and hit a homer the following inning.
Zeroes (fair): The Rangers haven't allowed a run in 31 innings, the second-longest streak in franchise history.
Double plays (fair): The Rangers lead the majors in double plays turned with 47. They got two Friday, both off the bat of Emil Brown (sixth and ninth innings).
