Who's hot: Dirk Nowitzki

He came alive at the end of Game 5 with two 3-pointers that ignited him on a personal 12-point run as the Mavericks scored the last 15 points of the game. He needed only 15 shots to rack up 30 points. His rebounding has been consistent, and his passing has gotten better as the series has unfolded. ... Josh Howard is having the best series of any Maverick, hitting 54 percent of his shots and averaging 21.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and three assists. ... Devin Harris had a sparkling Game 5, slashing to the basket for 16 points and seven rebounds. ... DeSagana Diop hit all five of his shots in Game 5, and Austin Croshere came off the bench to can 3-of-4 3-point attempts. ... Golden State hit a franchise playoff-record 16 3-pointers in Game 5, but it's worth noting that they missed their last five. In five games, they are 48-of-139 (.345) ... Baron Davis continues to hurt the Mavericks inside and outside, averaging 26 points and shooting better than 50 percent from 3-point range. ... Matt Barnes has been the Warriors' unsung hero, averaging nine points and making 7-of-18 3-point attempts off the bench.

Who's not? Stephen Jackson

When he's not incinerating the Mavericks, which he's done in a couple of games, he's turning into a self-destruct mechanism. He's been pitched out of two games and is coming off a 4-of-14 shooting night in Game 5. He also had five of the Warriors' 15 turnovers Tuesday. ... Monta Ellis hasn't been much better, shooting 1-of-10 in the last two games. ... Jason Terry made just 4-of-11 shots Tuesday, extending a series-long stretch of subpar shooting.

Injuries

Mavericks: D.J. Mbenga (right knee) is out;

Warriors: Zarko Cabarkapa (back surgery) is out.
