North Texas women's basketball assistant coach hired

DENTON – Johnetta Hayes has joined the UNT women's basketball team's staff as an assistant coach, head coach Shanice Stephens confirmed Tuesday. Hayes coached at Wylie College in Marshall and played at Rice while Stephens was an assistant coach.
Senior shortstop Katya Muller and freshman first baseman Mallory Cantler were first-team selections on the All-Sun Belt Conference softball team. Muller is hitting .300, while Cantler leads the team with a .384 average.
