DeSoto guard commits to UTA

DeSoto senior guard Jeremy Smith said he has orally committed to play basketball at UT-Arlington.
Smith (5-10) chose UTA over offers from Stephen F. Austin, Lamar, Northern Arizona and Texas State. Smith is averaging 8.6 points and 2.8 assists per game.
