Record: 26-7

No. 2 seed, Oklahoma City Region

First-round matchup: vs. No. 15 seed UT-San Antonio, 11 a.m. Saturday at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.

Outlook: A&M landed its highest seed ever in the NCAA Tournament. And coach Gary Blair's club could play two games at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City to reach the Final Four.

Blair tempered his enthusiasm just a tad, though. A&M was poised to land at Reunion Arena in Dallas last season for the regional semifinals, but was knocked out in the second round.

"I'm happy, but I was happy last year with our draw, too," Blair said. "We didn't get it done. We're still on the payback tour."

UT-San Antonio, the Southland conference tournament champ, hasn't faced many teams that harass people like A&M.

Blair expects a ton of Aggies to fill the Ford Center if they get that far. Tennessee loomsas a potential opponent in the region final.
