Baseball: Oklahoma 10, Kansas State 2
J.T. Wise homered and drove in four runs as Oklahoma beat Kansas State 10-2 Sunday to move ahead of the Wildcats in the Big 12 standings.

Baseball: Nebraska 9, Texas A&M 8
Nebraska scored five runs in the ninth to rally to a 9-8 win over Texas A&M in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.

Texas A&M wins Big 12 softball title
Megan Gibson threw a three-hit shutout and also drove in one run as Texas A&M beat Nebraska 5-0 Sunday to win its first Big 12 championship.

Rebel Ridling homered and had four RBIs and Oklahoma State had 18 hits as the Cowboys beat Texas Tech 13-3 on Saturday.

Baseball: Texas A&M 6, Nebraska 3 (16)
Dane Carter hit a three-run double in the top of the 16th inning, giving Texas A&M a 6-3 victory over Nebraska on Friday night.

SMU basketball signee asks for his release
Men's basketball signee Jarred DuBois, a 6-3, 170-pound guard from Westchester High in Los Angeles, has asked to be released from the national letter of intent he signed with SMU in November.

North Texas will lose five scholarships in football and one in men's basketball after the NCAA released its annual report on Academic Progress Rates for its member institutions Tuesday. The APR is a four-year look at graduation rates culminating with the 2006-07 academic year.

In Fort Worth, Clint Arnold hit a two-run home run, and Trent Appleby pitched five scoreless innings in relief for the Horned Frogs (33-16, 16-5 Mountain West), who completed a series sweep against the Utes (16-24, 5-12).

Baseball: Nicholls State 6, UT-Arlington 5
In Arlington, the Mavericks' bullpen blew a 5-1 lead when it allowed five runs on five hits and four wild pitches in the decisive seventh inning, and the Colonels (9-39, 4-20 Southland) dropped UTA (21-27, 12-12) back to .500 in conference play.
