The Class of 2007
When Rangers manager Ron Washington took the field last year in Anaheim for his first game as the team's skipper, he was one of five first-time managers making their debuts. The Class of 2007, along with the class of 2003 (Eric Wedge, Ned Yost, Alan Trammell, Ken Macha and Bob Melvin), was the largest number of first-year managers in the last decade. So, with Washington's job perhaps in jeopardy, here's a look at how the teams they've run have fared (all stats through Thursday):
