Fantasy football picks for Week 15

You don't need my advice to start Tom Brady and Terrell Owens, or to bench Kyle Orton and Ashley Lelie.

So I'll spare you the obvious recommendations, focusing instead on the players typically on the bubble of most fantasy rosters.

Here are my picks to roll, or get rolled, among players on the Week 15 bubble in standard fantasy leagues.

Watch 'em roll

Kurt Warner, QB, Arizona at New Orleans: He has exploited soft secondaries for the past five weeks, with at least two scoring strikes in each game. Look for more of the same against the Saints' weak unit, which also ranks among the NFL's laggards in the interception department.

Willis McGahee, RB, Baltimore at Miami: He ran into a brick wall against the Colts, but the floodgates will swing open in Miami. Count on 100-plus yards and at least one end zone visit.

Laurence Maroney, RB, New England vs. NY Jets: He's been a bit player in the "Tom Brady Show," but potentially snowy conditions and the Jets' awful run defense should conspire to give him a lead role in this lopsided affair.

Bobby Engram, WR, Seattle at Carolina: Matt Hasselbeck is firing on all cylinders, making each of his receivers a strong play against a defense that's spending way too much time on the field. Engram is the most consistent of the bunch.

Anthony Gonzalez, WR, Indianapolis at Oakland: His 134-yard, two-touchdown outburst against the Ravens was no fluke. The rookie is now a key component of the Colts' air attack, attracting the passes that normally go to Marvin Harrison. The Raiders' secondary is decent but no match for this offense.

Roll 'em back

Eli Manning, QB, NY Giants vs. Washington: In further proof that you can't believe everything you see in commercials, Manning is anything but "unstoppable." Expect another mediocre performance against a division rival.

Justin Fargas, RB, Oakland vs. Indianapolis: Bruised ribs and running backs are a bad combination. Not to mention the Colts' run defense is solid, as McGahee learned last week.

Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville at Pittsburgh: With Fred Taylor sipping from his fountain of youth, Jones-Drew's primary contributions over the last four weeks have been as a TD producer. But the Steelers have surrendered just three rushing scores all season.

Jerricho Cotchery, WR, NY Jets at New England: He played well in a surprise start last week, but the going gets tougher Sunday. Don't be surprised if the Jets get blanked in this one, by the Pats and the snowy conditions.

Bernard Berrian, WR, Chicago at Minnesota: Kyle Orton hasn't taken a regular-season snap since 2005 and will be pressured relentlessly by the Vikings' solid pass rush and improving secondary. Berrian's chances will be limited on Monday night.

Taking a flier

Trent Edwards, QB, Buffalo at Cleveland: No, I'm not sold on him as a fantasy stud after his four-touchdown outburst against Miami. But Edwards proved he can exploit a soft defense, even in dicey weather conditions. Sounds a lot like Cleveland to me. He and Lee Evans should be a solid combo this weekend.

Don't be the bonhead who ...

... forgets Saturday's game. Just when we've gotten accustomed to the Thursday night contests, the NFL mixes up the schedule again and gives us Cincinnati at San Francisco on Saturday night. Don't get caught napping!
