Two fast-moving trains seem to be on the same track. Morrow and Kronwall each have dished out thundering checks in the playoffs, and Game 2 promises to be a more physical affair.
That's the Red Wings' record in their last 16 games at Joe Louis Arena. That includes a 6-0 run in the playoffs.
Dallas: RW/C Stu Barnes (concussion-like symptoms) is questionable. D Philippe Boucher (hip strain) is out.
Detroit: RW Tomas Kopecky (knee) is out.
Stu Barnes (post-concussion syndrome) went through a full practice and said he will skate in the morning to see if he can return to the lineup after missing four games. The Stars are 1-3 with Barnes out of the lineup. ... RW Jere Lehtinen had a bruise near his eye after he was high-sticked in Game 1. Lehtinen was off the ice for two Detroit power-play goals in the first period while getting stitched up. ...Dallas officially signed Swedish prospect Fabian Brunnstrom to a two-year, entry-level contract Friday. ... Detroit D Chris Chelios was announced as one of the finalists for the Masterton Trophy, given to the player deemed to exhibit the characteristics of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. Toronto's Jason Blake and Edmonton's Fernando Pisanni are the other finalists.
