3. Devin Setoguchi, San Jose: He scored the second goal and then scored in the shootout.

1st: The Stars gave San Jose some good scoring chances on the first two shifts, and that was a sign of things to come. The Sharks took control with goals by Torrey Mitchell, Devin Setoguchi and Patrick Marleau. Although Jere Lehtinen tied the score after Mitchell's goal, Setoguchi scored after a Sergei Zubov turnover, and then Marleau converted off a turnover from the corner of Dallas' zone.

3rd: The Stars finally turned the switch, tying the score with two goals in less than a minute. Morrow got his eighth goal of the season by deflecting the puck. Fifty-eight seconds later, Niklas Hagman, standing beside the net, swatted a rebound past Nabokov at 6:31.

Stars 3, San Jose 3

OT/SO: Douglas Murray got called for interference, giving the Stars a power play. But the overtime ended when Modano's wrist shot from a bad angle hit the side of the net. In the shootout, Nabokov stopped Zubov, and Setoguchi beat Turco with a wrister. Dallas' Jussi Jokinen couldn't get a good shot. Then Marleau got Turco with a wrist shot similar to Setoguchi's.
