1. Marty Turco, Stars: He was great in the game when the Stars needed him, and he is money in the shootout.

2. Pascal Leclaire, Columbus: Stole a point for the Blue Jackets with some incredible saves.

3. Chris Conner, Stars: He was all over the ice and gave the Stars energy when they needed it in the third period.

First period: Both goalies made spectacular saves, but Columbus scored on a key turnover at the 13:56 mark. Captain Rick Nash stepped up to pick off a pass and fed a shot down the slot that Nikolai Zherdev redirected into the net past Marty Turco. Turco's best save was a pad stack on Jason Chimera. Pascal Leclaire was equally strong, as he made a huge stick/glove save on Stu Barnes and a big glove save on Brenden Morrow.

Columbus 1, Stars 0

Second period: The goaltending actually got better in the second period, as Turco and Leclaire each foiled quality scoring chances. Turco stopped Michael Peca with a glove save and Sergei Fedorov with a kick save. Leclaire kept Brenden Morrow off the board with one of his saves.

Columbus 1, Stars 0

Third period: Chris Conner broke through when no other Stars player could. After getting foiled earlier in the shift, Conner cycled around, took a pass from Nicklas Grossman in the neutral zone, broke ahead of two defenders, fought off some hard stick checks and pushed in the puck in for his third goal of the year. The play could be one of the Stars' top five goals this season.

Stars 1, Columbus 1

Overtime/shootout: Each team put three shots on goal in an exciting overtime. Mike Ribeiro probably had the best scoring chance as he skated behind the net and whipped a shot that Leclaire stopped. The shootout went five rounds before Turco poke-checked Gilbert Brule and Hagman used a backhand sweep through the five-hole for the winner.
