Texas Motor Speedway adjusts ticketing, seating for 2009

Texas Motor Speedway, like many NASCAR tracks, experienced reduced attendance in 2008.

Texas Motor Speedway will reduce its seating capacity by 15 percent to make room for a new luxury area for motorcoaches, it was announced Monday. TMS also will lower backstretch ticket prices by at least 45 percent.

Leslie Porterfield of Dallas was named Female Rider of the Year by the American Motorcycle Association.

NHRA wraps up season with Krawlec winning without winning
Cruz Pedregon won his second NHRA Funny Car season championship, and first in 16 years, with a victory Sunday in the season-ending Auto Club NHRA Finals in Southern California. Eddie Krawiec won his first POWERade Series crown in Pro Stock Motorcycle, and did so without winning a race. Rob Bruins, the 1979 Top Fuel champ, is the only driver in NHRA history to win a season title without an individual race victory.
