Stars owner Tom Hicks said before Wednesday night's game that he is pleased with the team's co-general manager configuration and would like to take "interim" off of the titles for Les Jackson and Brett Hull.
"I look forward to having negotiations with them to talk about what the future is going to be," Hicks said.

When Hicks fired Doug Armstrong in November, he made the controversial decision to name co-GMs – the first time that had occurred in NHL history. He said at the time that he would decide in the summer whether to continue the experiment.
Jackson was previously an assistant GM in charge of scouting and player development, and Hull was a special advisor to the hockey operations department.
The two have combined different personalities into one mind-set, Hicks said.
"I think they've done exactly what I hoped they would do," he said. "I think Les is as knowledgeable a nuts-and-bolts hockey ops. guy as there is in the league. He's thorough. He knows players. He's like me, more introverted. Brett has been exactly what I'd hope he would be. He's connected with the team. He's been a good spokesman for the franchise."
Jackson said communication has been a key between the two.
"Brett and I get along good, and I think it's a great balance," he said. "He has more experience in NHL games, and mine is more in the field. We have an idea of what we want to do as a team."
