The Navo Panthers used a 21-point fourth quarter to break open a tight game and cruise to a 41-28 victory over the McMath Tigers in eighth-grade A-team action Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.
Wyatt Folsom and Connor Cocchiarella took high scoring honors for McMath with eight points apiece, with Dylan Baker and CJ Herrera each adding six.
Navo won the B-team game 31-14, and McMath won the C-team game 22-8.
Calhoun seventh-grade A 33, Crownover 29
The Calhoun Cougars rallied from a 26-23 deficit after three quarters to take a 33-29 victory over the Crownover Cowboys.
Dylan Bourey and Conner Riddle had seven points apiece and Trevon Turner and Trent Hunter each added four to lead Crownover. Dabira Ogunwyi led the Cowboys with six rebounds.
Crownover seventh-grade B 34, Calhoun 22
The Crownover Cowboys jumped out to a seven-point first-quarter lead and never looked back in rolling to a 12-point victory over Calhoun.
Kyle Ingram led Crownover with 11 points while Arian Bhat added eight points.
Crownover seventh-grade C 12, Calhoun 8
Garrett Keuer and Jakob Machuca scored four points apiece as the Crownover Cowboys edged the Calhoun Cougars in a season opener.
McMath seventh-grade A 39, Navo 19
The McMath Tigers outscored Navo 27-9 in the second half to pull away for a 20-point victory.
Tyrus Johnson led the Tigers with 20 points while AJ Johnson added eight and Noah Gerdes finished with five.
Harpool eighth-grade A 37, Strickland 17
Lauren Heard poured in 16 points to lead Harpool to a 20-point victory over Strickland.
Sydney Swann and Destany Hall added six points apiece for the Lady Longhorns.
Harpool eighth-grade B 17, Strickland 16
The Harpool Lady Longhorns were held scoreless in the first quarter but rallied to take a 1-point victory over Strickland.
Bailey Moss led the scoring for Harpool with six points.

The Navo Lady Panthers rallied from a two-point halftime deficit to take a 17-point victory over McMath.
Lindsay DeVore had seven points and Lily Mansour added five to lead McMath.
Navo eighth-grade B 23, McMath 16
Navo outscored the McMath Lady Tigers 9-2 in overtime to take the victory.
Jade Townes led McMath with 13 points.
Crownover eighth-grade A 47, Calhoun 5
The Crownover Lady Cowboys used balanced scoring to roll to a 42-point victory over Calhoun.
Avery Priddy led the effort with eight points, while Olivia Boisen, Lindsey Rockwell and Jordan Walters had six points apiece.
Crownover eighth-grade B 34, Calhoun 10
Mackenzie Sealy scored 12 points while Emily Hunt and Emily Clay each had six as the Lady Cowboys overpowered Calhoun.
Crownover eighth-grade C 14, Calhoun 6
Savannah Keller and N’Bushe Settles had four points apiece to lead Crownover past the Lady Cougars.

The Navo Panthers held the McMath Tigers to two first-quarter points and no points in the fourth quarter en route to a season-opening win.
Kate Cowan led McMath with eight points while Holly Higgs added five points. Alyssa Williamson and Brianna Wolford played well defensively for the Tigers.

The Navo Lady Panthers erased a six-point first-quarter deficit to take an 11-8 halftime lead and then pulled away in the second half against McMath.
Citlali Vasquez and Emma Abel had six points apiece for Navo while Kiara Blas added four.
Kiarra Ibarra led McMath with 10 points.

Navo jumped out to a 12-point first-half lead and outscored McMath 20-4 in the second half for a 26-point victory.
Tanzia Pritchet led Navo with eight points while Regan Corley added six.
Destiny Woods led the scoring for McMath with four points.
Harpool seventh-grade A 32, Strickland 5
The Harpool Lady Longhorns held Strickland scoreless for the first three quarters in a season-opening, 27-point victory.
Sofia Martinez led the scoring for Harpool with 10 points while Alexiss Benton added eight and Katherine Silvaggio had six.

Sophie Ramirez pumped in seven points and MarLynn Hickson added six as the Lady Longhorns rolled to a 23-point victory over Strickland to open the season.
