Soccer roundup: Lady Wildcats shut out L.D. Bell

FORT WORTH — The Guyer girls continued their defensive dominance Friday, shutting out Hurst L.D. Bell 3-0 in the Fort Worth Brewer tournament.

Brittany Crabtree, Hannah Alspach and Telia Young each scored goals for the Lady Wildcats (7-0). Jasmine Heffley, Young and Crabtree added assists. Mikayla Renfroe and Maddy Slovocek combined in goal for the win. Guyer has yet to allow a goal this season.

The Lady Wildcats will face Azle at 3 p.m. today in the tournament.

 

Argyle 2, Gainesville 1

ARGYLE — Sisters Hannah and Abby Neece each scored a goal to lead Argyle to a 2-1 win over Gainesville and a spot in the Gold Bracket semifinals of the Argyle tournament.

The Lady Eagles will play College Station at 9 a.m. today, followed by Abilene Wylie against Frisco Lone Star in the other semifinal.

The Lady Eagles also defeated Anna 5-1 on Thursday. Hannah Neece scored four goals and Casey Waggoner netted the fifth.

 

Lake Dallas 1, Richardson 0

FORNEY — Cambria Johnson assisted on Haley Borcnem’s goal that gave the Lady Falcons the win over over Richardson in the Forney tournament.

Ryleigh Bohnenstiehl was in goal for the Lady Falcons (5-2-2).

 

Boys

Argyle wins twice

ALVARADO — The Eagles beat Crandall 5-0 and Kennedale 2-0 in the Alvarado tournament.

Brian Williams led Argyle with two goals in the win over Crandall, while Drew Estrada, Dylan Sadler and Alejandro Rodriguez each scored once.

Against Kennedale, Sadler and Rodriguez each netted a goal.
