The Texas Girls Coaches Association has released its annual end of the year honors for all classifications, including its all-state teams, and the Denton area was well represented.

HEATH - The Krum Lady Cats needed only one run to emerge victorious in Game 1 of the Class 4A Region II semifinal series as they scored in the fourth and held on behind Tristan Bridges' eight strikeouts. Morgan Sebastian led the offense, going 2 for 3 for half of the Lady Cats runs. Avery Williams and Maddie Goin each went 1 for 2.

KELLER -- After defeating Carrollton Ranchview on Friday night, Krum needed one more win Saturday afternoon to take the three-game series. It took extra innings, but the Bobcats (13-17) were able to claim a Class 4A bi-district championship in walk-off fashion with a 4-3 win in Game 2.
