UNT will play in the Sun Belt Conference tournament beginning today in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
UNT finished sixth in its last tournament, the Arkansas-Little Rock Classic, behind conference rivals Middle Tennessee and UALR.
UNT finished fourth in the conference tournament last year, when Denver won its eighth straight title.
The three-round event will conclude Wednesday.
