TROY, Ala. — Troy hit .306 in a 25-18, 25-20, 26-24 sweep of North Texas.

The Trojans (14-8, 5-2 Sun Belt East) have won five of their last six matches. UNT (18-8, 4-3 West) entered the weekend a match behind division leader Arkansas-Little Rock.

Carnae Dillard and Courtney Windham led the Mean Green attack with 12 and 10 kills, respectively.

UNT nearly completed a big comeback in the third set. The Mean Green trailed 18-12 but took its first lead of the set at 24-23 thanks to a Dillard kill. However, two Trojan kills and a UNT attack error ended the match.

North Texas will visit South Alabama at 7 tonight.
