North Texas will open its 2013 season at the Texas tournament with games against Memphis and Texas on Feb. 8 before returning home to play host to the three-day, five-team Lovelace Invitational beginning Feb. 15.
The tournaments were two of the highlights of the Mean Green’s schedule that was released Wednesday.
UNT will face seven teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament in its final season in the Sun Belt Conference before moving to Conference USA in 2014.
The Mean Green will open conference play at home with a series against Florida International, which also is moving to C-USA, on March 9 and 10.
UNT finished 28-26-1 last season.
