Sanger rallies past Ponder
SANGER — Sanger erased an early 11-point deficit and came away with a 54-52 victory over Ponder on Saturday.
Ponder missed a contested 4-foot jumper as time expired that would have sent the game into overtime.
Ponder’s Clay Morgan led all scorers with 21 points, while Josh Peterson tallied 14 points for the Lions.
Sanger (3-1) was paced by Tyler Roelofs’ 12 points. Tanner Thomas scored 11 points and Drew Lyons added nine.

TWU falls to Northwest Missouri
LAKEWOOD, Colo. — TWU suffered a 63-40 loss to Northwest Missouri State at the Colorado Christian Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday.
The teams combined for 55 turnovers.
The Pioneers were led by guards Tabbatha Turmond and Toree Mason, who each scored 10 points. Forward Ria Pateraki added seven points and cleared a game-high 10 rebounds.
Northwest Missouri shot 55.2 percent in the first half and built a 42-15 halftime lead. The Bearcats hit four of five shots from 3-point range and six of seven from the free throw line in the first 20 minutes.
The Pioneers regrouped on defense in the second half and held Northwest Missouri to just seven field goals on 25.9 percent shooting. TWU outscored the Bearcats 25-21 in the half.
The Pioneers will open their Lone Star Conference schedule at Texas A&M-Commerce at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
