North Texas first baseman Dani Hoff was named to the Lovelace Invitational all-tournament team for her play this past weekend.
The sophomore led the Mean Green in its four games, batting .333. She went 4 for 12 with a double and one RBI. She tied the game against Nebraska-Omaha with a run-scoring single and then started the seventh-inning rally with a one-out double. The Mavericks went on to win 4-3.
In the 3-2 win against Dayton, Hoff scored the game-winning run after reaching base with a walk. The sophomore is leading the team with a .318 batting average.
North Texas went 1-3 at the Lovelace Invitational, as Iowa won the event with a 4-1 record. The Hawkeyes won the tiebreaker against Nebraska-Omaha, which also finished with a 4-1 record.
