North Texas couldn’t generate any offense Wednesday as host UT-San Antonio swept a doubleheader by scores of 7-0 and 2-0.
The Mean Green dropped to 4-7 for the season, while the Roadrunners improved to 6-4.
Haylee Staton pitched a two-hit shutout in the opener, and Jolene Graham followed in the nightcap with a four-hit shutout. The Mean Green was outhit 16-6 in the combined two games.
North Texas returns to action today as it opens play in the Texas Shootout against Texas State at 5 p.m. in San Marcos.
