SAN MARCOS — Jordan Terry drove in three runs to lead North Texas to a 5-3 win over Texas Tech on Friday in the Texas Shootout.
Terry put UNT ahead 2-0 in the second with a two-run homer, scoring Paige Kisling.
The Red Raiders (8-4) scored single runs in the second and third innings.
Tori Bice put UNT back on top with a sacrifice fly in the fifth that scored Taylor Schoblocher. Brooke Foster led off the sixth with a single and scored on Jackie Miller’s double. Terry followed with an RBI double for a 5-2 lead.
Bice pitched 4 1/3 innings for the win, allowing two unearned runs and five hits. Brittany Simmons picked up her fourth career save after pitching two hitless innings.
UNT (6-7) continues tournament play today with games against Baylor (9:30 a.m.) and Texas-Arlington (11:30 a.m.).
