The Mean Green improved to 25-22 overall and 12-9 in conference play, while the Warhawks fell to 19-30 and 3-17. The three-game sweep moved UNT into fourth place in the conference standings.
North Texas capped its conference schedule with two series sweeps. The 12 conference wins ties for the second most in school history and the 12-9 record ties for the top winning percentage.
Kirk (13-8) won all three games against ULM this weekend, including the two no-hitters. On Sunday, she pitched five innings and struck out eight, walked one and hit a batter.
In the three games, the junior had 16 strikeouts to give her 152 for the season, placing her third on UNT’s single-season list. She already holds the top two spots. She needs 12 more strikeouts to break her own single-season record. The right-hander set the school’s career strikeout record last weekend.
Karly Williams knocked in the first run of the day in the second inning with a sacrifice fly to score Dani Hoff, who led off the inning with a single.
In the fourth, Taylor Schoblocher hit her team-leading ninth home run of the season to make it 2-0 before Lesley Hirsch hit a bases-clearing double to make it 5-0.
Hoff ended the game with the run-rule in the fifth on a three-run homer. It was her first home run of the season, as she led UNT this weekend with six hits and five RBIs.
North Texas completes its regular season with a Tuesday home game against Texas-Arlington at 4 p.m. and then a road game Wednesday against Stephen F. Austin.
