Volleyball: TWU sweeps Cameron

LAWTON, Okla. — TWU swept Cameron 25-21, 25-14, 25-16. Four Pioneers recorded nine kills or more, led by Josie Santos with a match-high 11 kills.

Chloe’ Tate added 10 kills for TWU while Viktorija Jablonska and Marcela Alves had nine apiece. Courtnee Davis posted seven kills and a match-high 15 digs. Santos also added 11 digs for her second double-double of the season.

The Pioneers (12-3, 6-1 Lone Star) trailed 17-13 in the first set before closing with a 12-4 run. In the second set, TWU jumped out to an 8-3 lead. The Pioneers went on a 10-2 run in the third set to take a 22-13 lead.

The Pioneers today will travel to Wichita Falls to face Midwestern State.
