Soccer: Pioneers lose tough four-setter

STEPHENVILLE — TWU came out on the short end of close, four-set match Saturday at Tarleton State, losing by scores of 33-31, 24-26, 21-25, and 24-26.

The Pioneers are now 13-5 on the season and 7-3 in the Lone Star Conference.

Four players recorded 13 or more kills led by senior Viktorija Jablonska with a game-high 19. Juniors Josie Santos and Marcela Alves each had 15 kills, while Chloe’ Tate recorded 13. Santos also added a game-high 17 digs to record her fourth consecutive double-double.

TWU returns to action at 5 p.m. Friday at home against Incarnate Word.
