PORTALES, N.M. — Four players hit over .350 to lead TWU to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-20 victory over Eastern New Mexico on Saturday.
Viktorija Jablonska led the match with 15 kills for TWU (16-6, 10-4 Lone Star). Marcela Alves also reached double digits in kills with 12 while Chloe’ Tate added nine. Courtnee Davis had a match-high .571 hitting percentage after recording four kills on seven attempts.
The Pioneers’ Kayla Rivero led with 21 assists while Morgan Wilson had a match-high 17 digs.
The Pioneers took control of the first set with a 9-3 run and closed it by scoring five of the final eight points.
The Zias led the third set 8-7 before the Pioneers responded with a 10-4 run.
The Pioneers will play the remaining seven games of the regular season at Kitty Magee Arena, starting with a match at 7 p.m. Friday against Midwestern State.
“I am glad we are done with our road games,” TWU coach Shelly Barberee said. “It will be nice to close out the regular season at home in front of the home crowd.”
