TWU placed four players on the 2012 All-Lone Star Conference team, it was announced Wednesday night during the LSC Championship Banquet.
Senior Viktorija Jablonska and junior Chloe’ Tate were named to the first team, while junior Marcela Alves was selected to the second team and junior Josie Santos received honorable mention.
Jablonska earned first-team honors for the second consecutive season after leading the team with 370 kills, a .319 hitting percentage, 23 service aces and 430.5 points. She also recorded 211 assists, 197 digs and 67 total blocks.
Jablonska posted six triple-doubles this season in kills, assists and digs. She also had double-digit kills in 21 games this season.
Tate also earned all-league honors for the second straight season after landing on the second team a year ago. She led the Pioneers in total blocks (108) and solo blocks (17) and finished second in kills (256) and points (335.5).
Tate finished the regular season with a .280 hitting percentage and recorded four or more blocks in 13 games, including a career-high 12 in a win against ninth-ranked Angelo State on Nov. 10.
Alves finished third on the team in kills (256) and points (305.0) in her first season with the Pioneers. She also was second in hitting percentage (.290), total blocks (82) and solo blocks (14).
Alves reached double digits in kills in 10 games this season and had four or more total blocks in 10 games.
Santos, also in her first season with the Pioneers, finished the regular season fourth on the team in kills (186) and points (206.5). She also had 159 digs and 26 total blocks.
Santos reached double digits in kills in 11 games and recorded six double-doubles in kills and digs.
