TWU junior Courtney Cochefski was named Midwest Independent Conference Specialist of the Week for Jan. 14-20. She earned the weekly honor for the first time.
Cochefski recorded a 9.800 on bars in a four-way meet Saturday, improving her score by .300 from the season opener. The Chicago native placed third overall in Saturday’s event with competition from No. 13 Arizona and 25th-ranked BYU.
