Megan Matteck, who has served as a graduate assistant coach at TWU for the past two seasons, has been hired as the new assistant coach for the Pioneers, TWU athletic director Chalese Connors and soccer head coach Babak Abouzar announced Tuesday.

“I am thrilled to have Megan in a new role on our staff,” Abouzar said. “Her knowledge of the game and playing experience in our conference will help in leading our program in the right direction.”

A four-year letter winner at Midwestern State, Matteck graduated in 2009 with bachelor’s degree in biology. She is pursuing a master’s degree in exercise physiology.
