DALLAS — TWU beat Dallas Baptist and broke a two-match skid with a 25-22, 25-20, 25-18 nonconference win Saturday.
Chloe’ Tate and Marcela Alves led TWU with eight kills apice. Morgan Wilson was the leader on defense with 17 digs and Torie Talkington added 12.
Leading 21-19 in the second set, the Pioneers used a service ace, back-to-back kills and an attack error by Dallas Baptist to close out the win.
The third set was all Pioneers as they recorded 12 kills while holding Dallas Baptist to .000 hitting. TWU led 6-1 and 17-10 before a kill by Erica Humbach ended the match.
The Pioneers (15-8) will play six of their next seven matches at home. TWU will host Tarleton State at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
