The Denton teams have somewhat of a home-field advantage with the tournament being held at Ray Roberts, where the anglers already know their favorite spots on the lake to reel in their catches. “We need to just stick to the spots that we know, fish like we know how to,” Sorrells said.

SAGINAW - The first four innings of Game 2 of the Class 5A bi-district playoff series between Denton and Aledo looked as if the game might come down to the final outs as each team duked it out in a pitcher's duel. Denton's Wyatt Folsom and Aledo's Trevor Bruno each had opposing offenses on their heels, but it was Aledo's that woke from its slumber in the fifth inning with six runs on the way to a 7-1 victory to end the Broncos' season.
