Soccer roundup: Lady Wildcats roll

FORT WORTH — The Guyer Lady Wildcats picked up their fourth shutout of the season with Mikayla Renfroe at goalie in an 8-0 rout of Saginaw on Friday night.

Brittany Crabtree had two goals and an assist, while Hannah Alspach had a goal and two assists in the victory for the Lady Wildcats (7-1). Peyton Bucklew also scored twice.

Crabtree, Alspach, Bucklew and Madison Uk combined for five goals by halftime.

Tatianna Hernandez scored Guyer’s final two goals with assists from Uk and Morgan Thorntan, respectively.



Guyer Iron Bridge Classic

Guyer defended its home field and defeated The Colony 3-2 in the Denton Guyer Iron Bridge Classic on Friday night.

Israel Castillo, Connor Bourgeios and McKenna Cook all found the back of the net for the Wildcats in the tourney win.

Also in the tournament, the Ryan Raiders knocked off Keller Fossil Ridge in a 2-1 victory. Anthony Powell scored both goals for the Raiders.
